Katz-Moses Woodworking is a proud distributor of Suizan Japanese saws. This is the brand new Flush Cut saw which is my (Jonathan’s) personal favorite for flush trimming. I really like the stiff blade and the “no-set” teeth which do not mark the wood adjacent to your cut when you’re flushing something up.
JAPANESE STEEL: All SUIZAN Japanese saws are made of top quality Japanese steel. It uses high quality Japanese steel, which makes cuts to be sharp.
MADE IN JAPAN: All SUIZAN products are manufactured in Japan by Japanese master craftsmen. Suizan has a 100 year old history of making Japanese hand tools.

I needed a light, small flush cut saw and this is perfect for that. I've used it on soft pine, but also on slightly harder woods like poplar and oak and I have no complaints as to its operation. My only suggestion to make it perfect would be to add a small hole at the butt end of the handle -- so we can add lanyards or hang the tool from a screw/nail.
Awesome multi-purpose finishing Japanese trim saw - I'd give it a "6" if you would have drilled a hole in the handle for a leather lanyard.
The saw works extremely well, but I only have one slight complaint. The blade would benefit from a small increase in size (length of cutting surfaces) and weight. It cuts very well, but it will sometimes jump out of the cut.
Not much too the saw as it is a simple flush cut tool. Does what it is suppose to do and the only two things I could see possibly in question is AA/ is it truly a smooth flush cut ,meaning no teeth set marks on the surface? YES IT IS BB/Hiw many operations ( how ling) will it stay sharp and utilitarian? Too soon to tell but hopefully this will be in service for many many months/years down the road
I used this item to flush cut oak plugs. After trimming, very little to no sanding was required. There were no saw marks on the adjacent oak boards. I am very pleased with this purchase! Mike H. Southwest Ohio.
