Accessory for the Katz-Moses Universal Sharpening Jig

A dead flat bevel isn't always the goal. For block planes, smoothing planes and jack planes, a slight curve across the edge changes everything: cleaner shavings, fewer track lines, and a blade that clears chips instead of digging in. The Katz-Moses Camber Roller gives you that curve with total control and total repeatability.

This roller attaches directly to your Katz-Moses Universal Sharpening Jig and swaps out your standard roller in seconds. The roller is built with a 1" straight section in the center, flanked by two .8" cambered sections on either side. Use the center section for standard, flat honing exactly as you always have. When you're ready to shape the corners, simply rock the jig to either side and the cambered sections take over, rolling smoothly across the stone at a fixed .5 degree angle to produce an even, symmetrical arc. No freehand rocking, no guesswork, no lopsided edges. Every pass lays down the same curve as the last.

The result is a bevel shaped for real work: a gentle curve that reduces catches on wide boards, improves chip clearance, and lets you take a heavier shaving without tearout at the edges of the cut.
