Now I have to learn to sharpen

The item held the scraper as advised. I would spend a bit more time making it next time to be a bit more accurate with my cuts. Now I have to learn how to sharpen the card scraper, maybe watch the video again.

    card scraper vice

I made the vice on Saturday and following Jonathan's method on the video I tuned up my scrapers. Unbelievable how well they turned out. Pulling a nice thin curl across the piece that I can pick up and rub and it turns into powder. Well worth the little bit of time that it took to make it. Thanks!

    Card Scraper Vice

I built the card scraper vice plans from KM tools and found it to be an easy and simple plan to follow. Now all 9 of my scrapers are ready to go, thanks KM Tools.

Love it. Simple design, yet strong.

Used to sharpen card scrapers, which I am using more & more, replacing sand paper on final run before finishing. This card scrapers vice makes it easy to keep scrapers sharp. By the time it takes to set up a sander, I'm half way finished!

    Just needed a refresher

I hadn't paid much attention to it after downloading. Just now, I looked at it and it was a bit unclear. After watching the video, it became crystal clear, and the setup is brilliant. Perhaps if you showed a view with the bolts and wing nuts it would be more clear. But then again, this really crys out for an instuctional (and inspirational) video demonstration. No big whoop. Just refer to the video.
